DAY 34 - MISSOULA, MONTANA to CLARKSTON, WASHINGTON
JUNE 16 , 2014
We all awoke with rain drops falling on our RV's and as we started on our journey the sky cleared up. Even though the roads were narrow, winding, and very steep, the view was beautiful. We drove from Missoula, MT,
through Idaho to Clarkston, Washington. We traveled the Lolo Trail or sometimes
called the Nez Perce Trail. It passes through the Bitterroot Range.

Many of our rigs pulled off at the Lolo Summit and visited the Visitors Center. The Lolo Summit is 5,233 ft. Also located near the Visitors Center is the Lolo Hot Springs.

Now you can't have a Visitor Center without a Gift Shop |
We also stopped at the town of Kooskia. Kooskia Crossing was once a major crossing point for loggers and miners and base of a grain and freight tramway to the Camas Prairie. It is now known as "Gateway to Idaho's Wilderness'. Near by was this really neat Fish garden.

Tonight we had a very special guest at the RV park. He we Sergeant Patrick Gass (he was promoted to sergeant by vote of the Corps members after Sergeant Charles Floyd's death)
